Chapter 1165 Ask Your Grandpa for Advice

Author: Five Generals
“I’m taking it there. Do you have a problem with it?”

The nonchalance in Kaze’s tone was somewhat assertive.

Everybody was shocked.

Pete was the grandson of Trent, the old mayor while Kaze was a loser who took his wife’s last name.

They belonged to two worlds.

Pete should be the one in control of the situation while Kaze would whimper and simper desperately.

Judging by the conversation between them, the roles seemed to be reversed.

Kaze could not be cockier, and Pete could not give a straight answer.

“What’s going on, Mr. Fuller? Are you ill? This guy here is a loser. Just crush him.”

Keeve nudged Pete.

The push from his friend was not appreciated at all, and it showed on Pete’s face.

Pete snapped an angry look at Kaze and uttered, “I didn’t do anything to you this time, Kaze. I have shares in Victoria International Hospital. Are you stirring trouble on purpose?”

No one expected the response from Pete.

It sounded as if Kaze drove Pete up the wall.

Pete took off just like that. He did not look back, not even once. Silence befell the hallway to the emergency room. Even Miriam, Lianne, and others who ripped Kaze a new one just now were lost for words. Since Kaze drove Trent’s grandson away, no one else could stop him from tearing the hospital down. “You got to figure something out, Mr. Hobbs. You can’t let the bastard, I mean, Lee, shut the hospital down.” Miriam clung to Keeve’s arm in persuasion. It took quite an effort to get to where she was today through Keeve. Miriam would be the first to jump out and say no if the hospital operation was ceased. “Get lost. Don’t bother me!” Keeve shouted annoyedly. He was out of ideas. Kaze said, “Ask all the other shareholders to get here, Keeve. Don’t waste any more of everybody’s time.” The arrogant talk did not sit well with Keeve. Keeve lifted his head menacingly. “You secure a spot in the upper middle class, Lee, but that’s just because you took your wife’s fam

“You’re… Kaze?” Samson was shocked. While he had not met Kaze in real life, Samson had seen a photo of Kaze in his file. Besides, Samson could not stop thinking about Kaze ever since the latter broke both of his son’s legs. Samson probably could spot him a mile away at this point. As a veteran in the cruel business world, Samson got his act together in no time. He said curtly, “Why is Keeve’s phone in your possession, Kaze?” A million thoughts ran through his head. However, there was no question that Keeve was in Kaze’s hands. Phones had become inseparable attachments for people nowadays. The device could not have possibly fallen into the hands of Kaze for no reason. Kaze pointed the phone camera at Keeve on the ground and said with a smile, “Oh, your nephew is with me. He’s fine. Don’t worry.” On the screen, Samson was speechless. He could clearly see Keeve’s swollen cheeks. However, Kaze had a point. Keeve was fine. At least, Keeve was in a better posit

“Friendship is a two-way street. It takes both parties to make things work.”Samson said with a smile, “If you’re offering an olive branch, I don’t mind putting aside our differences and being friends.“All hope isn’t lost for Taz’s legs. He can be treated.” Even Kaze was shocked Samson would suggest a cease-fire. However, Kaze was not naïve to take Samson’s words for it as it was clearly a ploy. Friends meant nothing to Samson, whose life revolved around personal gains. Samson was the type to backstab when profits were at stake. “Tsk. What a loving father.” Kaze uttered with a grin, “I’m not inclined to be friends with a heartless man like you.” “So it’s not open for discussion?” Samson pulled a straight face and said emotionlessly, “Shut the hospital down then.” On the screen, Samson motioned to end the video call. His head was clear. Since Keeve was at Kaze’s mercy, it was likely Keeve had done everything he could, but nothing worked. It was the end of Vic

Morgan took the phone and pointed the camera at Kaze and Keeve. “What are you doing, Kaze?” Keeve asked in horror. Sensing danger, Keeve tried to crawl away. “Wham!” Kaze kicked him back down to the ground, approached him, and said without looking back, “Take a good look at what happens when you get on my last nerves, Samson.” “Don’t dare you, Kaze!” Samson’s angry and stunned voice came from the phone. His son, Taz, was useless. Keeve, on the other hand, was Samson’s nephew and the successor he had taken under his wing. Samson put Keeve in charge of running the private hospitals. Kaze broke two of Taz’s legs, and now he was going after Keeve. Samson would not put up with it. “Kaze, if you lay a finger on Keeve, I promise I will make you pay until the very end,” Samson shouted angrily. His contorted expression was nothing like the confident and level-headed businessman on TV. Alas, Samson’s threats did not sway Kaze. “Very well, then.” Kaze’s voice was pa

However, Samson tucked his murderous intent away. He helplessly realized that he could not ruin Kaze. At first, Samson intended to pit Leigh against Kaze, hoping they would be at each other’s throats. Even better if Leigh could kill Kaze. At least, Samson did not have to get his hands dirty. From the information Samson gathered, Kaze caused a scene on the set and brought Darcy home. After that, Kaze went to Landor Residential Area to confront Leigh. Samson believed Kaze was walking right into his death. To his surprise, Kaze appeared unscathed at Victoria International Hospital over an hour later, as arrogant as always. Leigh was tortured by a loser from an upper-middle-class family. The Glitters kept the humiliating news from getting out. Hence, Samson had no idea what happened in Landor Residential Area. There was no telling how Kaze walked away unharmed. These questions were enough reason for Samson to be wary of Kaze. Samson was a cautious and suspicious man

The business sector of Lilyrose finally saw some improvement after taking down the top three families. Kaze did not want rumors that could spread like cancer to affect the hard-earned improvement. He did not want anyone to use the opportunity to spread false information or misleading news to cause panic among the people and other companies. “Kaze, aren’t you a little too demanding?” Samson scoffed out of anger. He did not know what Kaze was trying to do. He simply assumed Kaze was like him, being greedy and wanting to take more for himself, hence acquiring the private hospitals. He glanced at the seven heads of departments behind Kaze and scoffed. “Tell me, is this your own idea or the idea of the people behind you?” Samson might have underestimated Kaze multiple times, but he still believed that shutting down Victoria International Hospital was too much of an undertaking for him to complete alone. There must be someone powerful supporting him, using the conflict between th

“For the sake of your safety, sir, I’d suggest you return to Sunrise now,” the assistant said with a bow. “Return to Sunrise? Why?” A sudden thought sprouted in Samson’s mind. He watched as a giant signboard got blown off by the strong wind and crashed down onto the street. He laughed maniacally when the signboard broke into pieces. “A rare storm? More like a rare chance! And I will be here to seize it! This time, even if the mayor is here himself, he will not take my hospitals away from me!” Samson curled his lips into a maniacal grin. At that very moment, his confidence grew and the new mayor was no longer a problem. …On the other hand, Kaze wanted to go home after leaving Victoria International Hospital. On the way home, a heavy storm descended, so he changed his destination to the city council instead. “Caleb, Lou, the storm is unusually heavy. I heard it’s going to be unprecedentedly huge. Can the city’s sewer system handle the situation?” Kaze summoned the

Kaze then called Draco in front of the two deputy mayors and requested him to send some troops over to reinforce the city council. That night, Kaze stayed in the city council and oversaw the entire operation as the commander. The entire city was awoken as the flood was imminent. “Mr. Mayor, it’s been a whole night. Why don’t you get some rest?” Caleb said with a slightly tired tone and bloodshot eyes. He, too, stayed up all night to work. “Sure. You and Lou can take shifts. Get some rest.” Kaze got up and tapped Caleb’s shoulder. Caleb and Lou performed amazingly throughout the night. They might be schemeful old men but they were capable and could work when required. The key would be how to make use of their capabilities. After leaving the office, just as Kaze wanted to go home to have breakfast and rest, he received a call. “Mr. Lee, it’s been two days since you clocked in, shouldn’t you show up today?” The call was from Jennifer, the deputy manager of Hudson Investm

Clemont was born with a silver spoon and raised like a prince as he was the youngest in the family. He knew his father’s current situation, which explained why he behaved arrogantly. He thought his actions could help his father but little did he know, they were causing a huge trouble. Kaze made it verbal but the spoiled brat did not appreciate the warning and simply felt annoyed. “What do I mean? I guess you have to ask your father about it.” Kaze looked at Clemont coldly. There was no way a useless trust-fund baby could achieve anything great under the protection of his family. Every action that Clemont took was causing damage to his family. Kaze initially intended to use the Siegfrieds to his advantage, which explained why he did not act immediately. Now that Clemont had come under his radar, Kaze ought to use the chance. He managed to showcase his strength to Rosie earlier and what he said to Clemont would surely raise more suspicion in her. Kaze must come up wit

Rosie was shocked. She almost got kicked by some spoiled brat. She was not happy about it. She revered Clemont’s background and had been tolerant with the brat but he stepped over the line when he decided to be physical. Rosie looked up to Kaze who was hugging her. He was just outside the crowd and decided to step in when he heard the commotion. She did not expect him to save her. It was a surprise but it allowed her to see his capabilities. The man from Butterworth had been hiding his abilities from everyone all along. Rosie smiled at him before getting back up on her feet. “Thank you for your help,” she said softly. “It’s nothing. It’s the right thing to do,” Kaze said. Kaze was the type of person who could never stand seeing the weak being bullied. “Who the hell are you? What do you think you are doing?” Clemont bellowed. He was outraged and needed to vent his emotions. Since Kaze had intervened, it gave Clemont a chance to lash out at him. “Stop causing a

“I told you this is my club! They have to listen to me! Now open the damn door!” Clemont was furious after being questioned. He started to kick the door like a madman. The waiters were worried but they dared not do anything. “Young Master Siegfried, there are guests inside! VIP guests!” the waiter added. He dared not reveal the identity of the guest inside. Zidane informed all employees earlier that no one shall reveal the VIP guest’s identity or even mention that the suite was booked by Edmund. It was to keep things low. Therefore, the waiter dared not speak any of it even to Clemont. Unfortunately, Clemont stubbornly believed the waiter was lying to him. “What guests?! You’re lying to me! You said there were guests inside but even after I kicked the door, there was no answer! Open it up. Don’t be stupid!” he shouted. He cared not about the others when he shouted. He was impulsive at nature. “Young Master Siegfried, there are guests inside. You can’t do this,” the

“Then what should we do?” “What else? Give him a VIP room and try to hold him down.” Rosie was displeased but she had to handle the matter herself. Clemont was a proud man. If he felt embarrassed in any way, he would certainly cause more problems. Rosie was afraid that he would do something rash once provoked. He was a man with a background. Even if he made a mistake, his father could cover up for him. However, if the club’s business was affected, Edmund would hold her responsible. That was why Rosie saw Clemont as a problem. “But they are heading to the suite already,” the bouncer said, looking worried. He had a premonition of something bad happening. “What are you guys doing?!” Rosie glared at the bouncer. They were usually smart and quick-witted so she did not have to worry about many things. Yet they let Clemont through?! “There are too many customers today. All the rooms are booked, so we have to make new arrangements.” “The other bouncer at the entranc

To many youngsters, Absolute Zero was a mysterious place. Young men and women from a better background were forbidden to set foot into the club. It was not because of the environment, but because of the human relationship within the establishment. The club was a gateway to the underworld and once exposed, the youngsters might thread onto the wrong path. Clemont was not allowed to go to Absolute Zero. However, he knew the club belonged to the Wittersons, which was his father’s rival. Therefore, he had been planning to help his father. He often used his father’s name to spend money at the club to annoy them. He brought his friends here today to show off his wealth and power. He wanted to let his friends know that he, too, was capable. “Young Master Siegfried! You’re awesome!” While surrounded by flattery, Clemont walked down the stairs to the entrance with his friends. The bouncers knew Clemont, so when he arrived, they quickly informed the management. They dared no

Kaze finally got some surprising news: Edmund had booked a room at Absolute Zero tomorrow for a business talk. In addition, Morris’ son was a regular at the club. Edmund and Morris were rivals but they looked peaceful in the open. No one knew how fierce the competition was under the table. Morris wanted to put his son in charge of the Viper’s Den but was unsure if his son could handle the matter. According to Zeeny, Morris’ son was a trust fund baby. His only ability was to make friends over alcohol. Maybe the young man liked being surrounded and flattered by people. Due to his father’s position, he was always flooded with friends and people interested in his resources. His so-called friends were just drinking buddies. None of them were any help to his career. It was the reason why Edmund did not take the son seriously. Kaze had a feeling that tomorrow would bring something interesting. They left later than usual tonight and he tipped the girls as usual. Even Dw

Kaze took a glass of beer from the girl and had a sip. “It’s okay that you still haven’t decided on your future.” He suddenly felt like a joke. He came to the club yet he tried to convince them to leave the environment without bothering to know their difficulties. “Let’s play dice!” The girl, Zeeny, smiled brightly and took the dice on the table. She was trained on how to make customers happy. Kaze did not ask the difficult questions anymore. Everyone enjoyed themselves with the games. Those who lost must drink. There were a few who sang while the others played, filling the room with joyous melody. Kaze enjoyed himself as well and slowly got to know each other better. At the same time, he learned more about the girls’ backgrounds, even though most of them were made up. To let customers tip them more, they would fabricate a pitiful background. Kaze’s goal was to fool Rosie, so he just had to enjoy himself now and nothing else. Dwight was overwhelmed by the beer

When Kaze entered the club, he saw that the place was clean and the lights were on. It was indeed not open for business yet. There were no customers inside. He could have a clear look over the entire establishment. “You guys are too early, so we had nothing prepared for you. I’ll bring you guys to the VIP room. When the music starts later, you guys can come out and have some fun, or you can call in some girls to accompany you,” Leeny said. She then pointed at a few girls walking toward her. All of them were in heels and sexy outfits. Their smiles rivaled the brightest sun and each of them had their unique charisma. All the employees of Absolute Zero were carefully handpicked. The way they dressed emphasized their personal charms. One would definitely ask for more after a glance. “Can we ask the girls to come to our room?” Dwight asked. His eyes were gleaming with interest. “Of course. This is your room. The girls will drink with you. We do provide some special service,

“I didn’t get anything from them. They just said Rosie is a dangerous woman.” “I told you to go back to see your colleagues and befriend them. Having no news is actually a good thing,” Kaze said. He might be slightly disappointed but it was expected, so he was not bothered. “Really? I thought I was quite useless.” Dwight thought he could finally get the recognition that he was waiting for but he was turned away by his boss. He was never taken seriously at the Viper’s Den, which was the reason why he disliked his colleagues and his superiors. However, he had to stay with the organization for the sake of staying alive. Ever since he met Kaze, his life changed. He thought he could improve himself but the others still did not take him seriously. Dwight was still willing to trust Kaze. “Don’t be affected by their opinions. You know better than anyone what you can do. Just focus on what you need to do and things will be alright,” Kaze said with a hint of encouragement. “Y
